How are prices calculated? They skips are priced by their size and their contents. The only other cost to consider is if a permit is required to place the skip on a public road. This is issued by the council, in some cases we can apply for the permit on your behalf but some councils require you to do it directly. We sort the waste into their constituents elements, predominantly these are soil, hardcore materials, metal, plastic, glass and wood. We are then able to supply much of these materials to construction industry so there is no little or no waste. What size skip would best suit my needs? Can I put anything in the skip? We accept most waste but we are unable to take waste electronics such as fridge/freezers, TVs, microwaves, chemicals, clinical waste, tyres, asbestos and gas bottles. This is to ensure we satisfy environmental legislation. How much can I fill the skip? You can fill the skip with a level load only. This ensures that skip can be safely removed without any of the contents spilling. How long can I have the skip for? We aim to be flexible depending on your needs you can keep the skip for a week or more if you let us know. The price is for the volume not the length of time you have the skip. New Trommel System

Manns Waste has recently installed a trommel system to feed waste into. The screened cylinder separates out various materials according to size and then these items go onto a conveyor belt to the picking station where operatives separate out more component parts such as plastic and cardboard.

To aid this process, there is a magnet and a fan positioned on the end of the trommel to extract ferrous metal and blow lighter weighted rubbish, such as paper. The machine rapidly increases the speed and efficiency of our waste sorting process.
